Fall in Love with Your Career
Do what you love and love what you do, but is it really that simple? How do you fall in love with your career? According to a recent Gallup Poll, only 15% of employees are actually engaged in their job. When I stop to think not only about how much time people spend working but also how much effort/time is put into schooling and training those statistics seem so absurd. Opportunities are endless and it’s never too late to make that career change that’ll benefit your life
To overcome the barriers and fall in love with your career check out these tips:
Find the problem. What is it about your current job that just doesn’t fit? Was there a time you used to love the job? Asking these questions will help you find the problem. The problem may be that you don’t feel challenged anymore or you don’t feel like you are making a difference.
Analyze the situation. What have been your reasons for staying in this position that you only tolerate? You may feel as though you’ve already invested so much time, or are simply afraid of changing jobs.
Research. After good analysis and reflection, you should have a good understanding of what is holding you back. Do research to find the type of career that will fulfill you. You may need to figure out your true passion.
Make the change. Find the career that makes you want to jump into your workday even before your first cup of coffee.
